Graduation Criteria
When the time approaches to move on, we’ll work with families towards Graduation.
Families Graduate from Small Steps for lots of reasons, but must move on when:
- They turn 4 years old,
- They take up the offer of a full time space at a Special School (even if only partially),
- When it becomes apparent that the child’s primary need is not predominantly physical (eg. social, communication and learning difficulties),
- If a child is unable to attend regularly, or we are not notified of absence (circumstances allowing),
- When they are ready to move on for other reasons.
Greenmead/ Conductive Education Based School Transitions
- When a child starts at Greenmead/ a Conductive Education Based School on a requested part-time place only, they could be offered a Transition Term.
CHILDREN’S PLACES IN THE GROUPS ARE REVIEWED
ON A TERMLY BASIS!
